HEALTH FAIRS
NHAN HOA HEALTH FAIR
This health fair is an annual event held in Garden Grove where patients and their loved ones can obtain free health screenings, flu vaccines, and community resources. Trained MEMObers assist with and provide blood glucose and cholesterol screenings for over 400 patients. Through participating in the Nhan Hoa Health Fair, we hope to create a healthier community for everyone.
OC HEALTH FAIR
The One Community (OC) Health Fair is one of our local community programs that provides general consultation and health education. Many patients who come to our health fair cannot afford insurance and typically live under the poverty line. We hope to bridge this gap of health access by providing services that are typically needed for the patrons we serve. These services include, but are not limited to blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, and dental checkups. Once a year, M.E.M.O. collaborates with the Vietnamese Physician Association of Southern California (VPASC), Lestonnac Free Clinic, Vietnamese Cancer Society, and CalOptima to host a health fair where health and trained students tend to people of the local Orange County community. Last year, in 2019, the OC Health Fair took place at Freedom Hall in Fountain Valley and provided care for approximately 1,500 patients.
